Testimonials
Many of my favorite memories growing up involve a hands-on project of some type, which might explain why I love BRG’s mission so much! BRG gives Western Mass youth a chance to get their hands dirty, ask questions—to make and create in a supportive, inclusive environment. It’s an honor to serve as Board President for an organization that encourages curiosity and builds practical skills.
Everything you do as a board member can have a direct and immediate impact on the shape and activities of the organization. I especially love the culture of inclusiveness and collaboration that Logan fosters – BRG consciously builds social justice into its foundational values and organization as it evolves.
Board membership with BRG is a great way to start understanding the inner workings of a nonprofit while also helping students have access to great workshops in hard skills like sewing and carpentry.
